Karen is an excellent and well prepared oriental medicine practitioner who is a NCCAOM national board-certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, she is bilingual (English and Spanish) and practices with a wide view in the health care field.
She has always care for the wellness of the people around her. This has been her passion ever since a very young age and it is what for she dedicate her life and heart to. Back in Colombia she worked as Medical Physician for a number of years where she saw and treated a multitude of patients, this has exposed her to the chronicity and severity of human sickness, as well as, they’re daily ailments.
After that experience, she decided to expand her knowledge with an aim to offer a different path of healing that included prevention and an integration of the body - mind - spirit in the benefit of health care. she fulfilled this dream by studying Acupuncture at the Won Institute of Graduated Studies In Philadelphia and then, Chinese Herbology at the Maryland University of Integrative Medicine where she was recognize for her outstanding performance.
Prior to move to Georgia, she opened her own clinic in western Pennsylvania at Somerset county and it’s surrounding towns where she worked as an acupuncturist and created an exceptional reputation not just in the community but with all alternative and traditional health providers in the area.
