200 Hour RYT – Vinyasa
Tia’s love for yoga started in 2002. Learning to tumble for cheerleading in high school left her with chronic pain in her lower back. Tia was asked to accompany a friend to a Body Flow class and noticed that over time, consistent practice left her pain free! After just a few classes she knew that yoga would be a part of her life forever! Tia decided to train to teach Body Flow in 2006. After falling even further in love with fitness she added a Body Step certification in 2008. Finally, in 2011 she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher training in the Vinyasa style. Tia has been teaching Les Mills group fitness classes for 8 years and Vinyasa Yoga for 3 years.
Tia enjoys teaching a yoga class where you can challenge yourself, but always encourages her participants to listen to their body. Yoga is challenging, so Tia likes to lighten the atmosphere with a combination of traditional yoga music and fun music from various genres! Tia’s hope is that participants who take her class experience an environment where they can relax, have fun, and let the stresses of their day disappear. Tia’s favorite quote is “Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape!” ~ Michael McGriffy
